Liz & Chris's Downtown Cincinnati Engagement Session at Smale Riverfront Park
There's something magical about golden autumn light filtering through yellow leaves, and Liz and Chris's engagement session at Smale Riverfront Park was the perfect example of fall perfection in Cincinnati. Despite the chilly temperatures, these two brought nothing but warmth as we explored one of my favorite downtown locations.
A Cincinnati Love Story
Liz and Chris are one of those couples whose love for each other is just so evident from the moment you meet them. Chris works as a college football coach for the Cincinnati Bearcats, and Liz is a nurse – two careers that require incredible dedication, and somehow these two make it all work beautifully. While they're currently calling Cincinnati home, they're planning their wedding in North Carolina to be close to family. When they reached out about capturing their engagement photos here in the city they've been building their life together in, I was absolutely thrilled.
Bringing Buster Along
One of my favorite parts of this session? They brought along their adorable white Great Pyrenees, Buster! There's something so special when couples include their fur babies in their engagement photos. Buster was such a good boy throughout the entire session, and I'm so glad I had my sister-in-law along as my assistant for the day. She was amazing at keeping Buster entertained and holding his leash while I captured some intimate moments of just Liz and Chris together.
The Perfect Fall Setting
Smale Riverfront Park never disappoints, and the fall foliage was absolutely stunning for their session. Those brilliant yellows and golds created the most gorgeous natural backdrop, and even though it was a bit chilly, the lighting was absolutely perfect. We made our way through the park, capturing moments along the water and, of course, with the iconic Roebling Suspension Bridge in the background – a Cincinnati landmark that never gets old.
The way these two looked at each other, the genuine laughter, that sweet kiss with the bridge behind them – it all came together so naturally.
Looking Forward to Their North Carolina Wedding
While I won't be there to capture their North Carolina wedding day, I'm so grateful I got to document this chapter of their love story here in Cincinnati. Liz and Chris, thank you for trusting me with these memories and for bringing Buster along to make the day even more special. Wishing you both all the happiness as you plan your big day and this next adventure together!
